When not wreacking sonic havoc as Vicarious Me's guitarist, Acrobat divides his time between his day job and his blog.
Marvin, aka 'Hibby' (bass): Bio coming soon.
Christian the Atheist, a.k.a. El Brujo (vocals): Where to start?
I don't know whether I should just give you the facts or use this soap box to share a piece of my mind. Here goes: The name Christian the Atheist is my little attempt at repaying all the people in the world that feel it necessary to advertise their beliefs. A former Witch turned Atheist, I played the drums at first, and then started a punk cover band in the late 80's called The Demented Preps. We covered The Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Dead Kennedys, J.F.A., Circle Jerks, and an occasional Black Sabbath Tune. In '90 I started a band called Naked Lunch which after about six months Madman joined, as Drummer. This Band acquired somewhat of a rep for it self in the scene, playing a mix of Metal and Punk in a time when Grunge was king. This band split in the early 90's. Everyone had to explore. I started Woodhead with Naked Lunch's first Guitarist shortly after a brief break. This band was more Radio ready, it sounded as if Jonny Rotten, Weezer, the Ween boys and Mike Patton gangbanged some granola-crunching hippy whore. It was great. This lasted about three years, then the Guitarist went missing. A year went by and I started to feel the itch, so I answered some ads and found a cool group of guys to jam with. I then became the singer for GinSin. This was a challenge; the music was not what I was listening to - it was real dark and heavy. I went from singing "la la la" to "if I could suck my own dick I'd never leave home." I got to vent and express my perversions, it was fun. This Band broke up in constant search for a bassist, plus I think I turned the Drummer into Mormon. Shortly after I left the band he converted. It was now time to concentrate on building a recording studio. I took a long hiatus, bought a home, got married and finished the studio. Now the time has come for Vicarious Me, the ultimate in music for the listener as well as the Artist: anything goes, any style goes. I truly believe that the talent, focus and creativity of this group will take music and give it back to the musician. I personally strive to create the perfect earworm in every genre.
INFLUENCES: Everything, the good the bad and the noisy. All music influences me.
WHAT I LISTEN TO NOW: Ween, The Flaming Lips, The Dandy Warhols, Brainiac, Modest Mouse, The Pixies, Apples in Stereo, The Deathray Davies, The New Pornographers, Tomahawk, Frank Zappa, Soul Coughing, and The White Stripes, just to mention a few.
QUOTE: "Learn to do yourself right and you’ll be able to tell others what you really want." - and that doesn’t just apply to the first thing that enters your mind.
POLITICAL VIEWS/SOAPBOX: Pro Choice, Pro Euthanasia, Legalize Marijuana, Separation of Church and State. "If you can’t afford to have a kid stop fucking", "Get your God out of my face an off my money", "There are multimillion dollar campaigns promoting alcohol and it kills how many people a year? The fact is we are adults, we teach our children when it is acceptable to drink and at what age. The same can be done with Weed. Just Say Know!", "All you lazy ass fuckers sucking up all the unemployment money, get up off your ass and get a job. Work sucks but we all have to do it, nobody gets a free ride unless you win the lotto." All that being said, go fuck yourself and have a nice day.
Michael Fry (drums): Bio coming soon.
